Why I became a Lion – John Smidl

Fifteen years ago a friend and neighbor asked if I would be interested in attending a Lions meeting to see what they were about, no pressure and understand they are a very relaxed club so it is my choice to get involved and join.

I believe in having a balance in life with family, spouse and felt it was time to extend out to our community. During the next years I worked hard and played hard plus met a number of new friends.

That was fifteen years ago and I am still an active Lion member today enjoying giving back to the community.
